Orchard Rules
The orchard is a working farm, a private home, and a place we share with you. Here's how we keep it kind for everyone.
While You're Here
Stay on the marked paths between rows. Some areas are freshly grafted, recently sprayed, or simply resting — signs will tell you which.
Children are welcome and adored. We ask that they not climb the trees, as the older branches are more fragile than they look.
Leashed dogs are welcome on the terrace and in the orchard, but not inside the café or the press house.
U-Pick Guidelines
Pick only what you'll use. A standard basket holds about six pounds and tends to be more than enough.
Twist the apple gently upward rather than pulling — this protects next year's bud. Iola will gladly show you the trick.
Please don't eat fruit before it's weighed at the barn. Free tastings are offered on the terrace instead.
Reservations
Tables are held for ten minutes past the reservation time, then released. We're a small kitchen and every seat matters.
For parties of six or more, please call rather than book online so we can plan the menu accordingly.
Cancellations made more than 24 hours ahead are free of charge. Same-day cancellations on weekends carry a small per-seat fee.
Alcohol & Tastings
Cider tastings are limited to guests 21 and over with valid ID.
We pour generously but reserve the right, kindly, to slow down a pour when needed.
Designated drivers receive complimentary house tonic and a slice of cake. Always.
Photography
You're welcome to photograph the orchard, your meal, and your company. Please ask before photographing our staff or other guests.
Commercial shoots, weddings, and editorial visits require advance arrangement — please write to us at [email protected].
Quiet Hours
After 9pm, we ask that conversation softens to match the light. The orchard is also a home, and our neighbors are early risers.
